I am a Licensed Master of Social Work, having received my Masters in Social Work at the University of Michigan. As part of my studies, I completed an internship at the University of Michigan Health System Department of Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry, and then entered a post-masters fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System Department of Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry. I then worked at Sarah Lawrence College in Student Health Services as part of their mental health treatment team. I also worked as a therapist at Cognitive Behavioral Consultants of Westchester, a private practice that specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
I have been intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech (the training organization founded by Marsha Linehan, the founder of the treatment). I also have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the American Institute of Cognitive Therapy and the University of Michigan Outpatient Psychiatry. I received training in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) through the University of Michigan Outpatient Psychiatry.
